El Niño visualization: The top surface is the reconstructed Renolds sea surface temperature with NCEP wind vectors overlaid. The bottom surface is the depth at which the density of the sea water is 1025 kilograms/cubic meter, with calculated geostrophic velocity vectors overlaid. Values are the averages from 1950-1999.
