Laurent,
         I have not created a Log axis, but a couple possibilities on how 
to implement come to mind.

1)  Create a LogAxis class and a LogTransform class.  This requires 
modifications of JPlotLayout to use the Log classes when a property is set.

2)  Extend PlainAxis to include a Log "style" when used with a LogTransform.

Either solution requires modification of JPlotLayout.  I'm in the middle of 
a project that is going to last at least unit early May.  At that time I 
will be able to spend some time on SGT.
