incomplete export to cdl

Hello,
I currently downloaded ncBrowse 1.4.0 (Windows) to convert some NCEP 
netCDF data
( time series of surface pressure, about 30 Mb per file: 
http://www.cdc.noaa.gov/cgi-bin/db_search/DBListFiles.pl?did=3&tid=5568&vid=28) 
to CDL format.
But a conversion of the whole netCDF data does not  work. Data values 
are missing. Are there any limitations of the filesize so that only 
parts of the dataset can be converted?
