Thanks a lot for ypur help, but I still have some problems:

I name the variable map as IBL (the name of my variable in the nc file)
and drag lon to x axis and lat to Y axis,
but
I get a window entitled "Definition incomplete" and
with the following message:
"Variable lon must match at least on of its dimensions in another entry"
Should I drag something to U Comp, V Comp and Contour?

That works fine, but get only one layer at a time, not an animation.
Also, how do I plot IBL acros time for a given lat,lon coordinate?
