Zooming

Zooming is useful to inspect closely-spaced profiles or to restrict your attention to a particular area or a particular time range. The zoom tool (shown as a small magnifying glass) can be used in any of the cut panels. The easiest way to use the zoom tool is to simply click and drag a zoom rectangle in any of the cut panels. In the following illustration, I have zoomed the latitude/longitude display to be centered on the Hawaian Islands:

Note: the filter region is changed so that it is (almost) the same as the new latitude/longitude range. This is why the there are so few data points displayed in the cut panels.
