Tutorial Data items are selected using the three selection tools described above.

 Polygon
Tool: Used to select data items in non-rectangular regions. To start
a polygon selection area, click the mouse and drag out the first perimeter
segement. Click to end a segment and start a new segement. Double click
to end your polygon area. Note: NdEdit will automatically add a segment
from the last click point to the start click point to close your polygon.

 Section
Tool: Used to select data items within a certain distance of a multi-segment
line. To start a section, click the mouse and drag out the first line segement.
Click to end a segment and start a new segement. Double click to end your
section area. The following illustration shows the section tool in action

Rectangle
Tool: Used to select data items in rectangular regions. The following
illustration shows the rectangle tool in action and the resulting selection:
