Other Ways to Zoom

Manual Axis Changes: Zooming changes an axis's minimum and maximum values to a narrower range. You can achieve the same effect by manully changing an axis range when you right-click on the axis area of a cut panel. This will display a dialog for setting the axis minimum and maximum values

Zooming to the Filter Selection Region: You can also zoom by using the filter handles to select a narrower range of an axis (or axes) and then use the Zoom to Selected Region command in the Zoom menu. In the following illustration, I have narrowed the time filter (as described above) and then zoomed to the selected region:

 

Notice that the latitude/longitude panel and the depth/latitude panels are identical to those above, but the latitude/time panel now covers just a little over a year rather than almost 20 years. It is now easier to distinguish the long north-south section line as a slanted line in the latitude/time domain.
